I remember bursting into tears when Starscream died. I kept saying...this is a movie for kids. No one DIES in it.... I was wrong! ;_; Most of Season Three is forgettable to me, because, well, no Starscream.
I think they don't have a romanticized notion of who Starscream was. And each of the Trine puts up with the flaws and faults of the others--that's a huge thing.
